Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center is seeking a self-directed and compassionate team player to join us as a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician. The successful applicant will join the surgical team with the primary roles of induction and maintenance of anesthesia, pain management, obtaining and assisting with diagnostic imaging, and pre- and post-surgical nursing and client education.
Animal Surgical was established in 1986 and is proud to be the only remaining specialty hospital in Shoreline owned and operated by the doctors that work in the clinic every day. Our technicians are utilized to the highest level of their ability, supporting our six board-certified surgeons. Major job duties include radiology, calculation and administration of induction drugs, CRI’s, establishing a protocol with the surgeon for pre and post-op medications, pain management, bandage and splint placement, client communication and pre and post-surgical nursing.
Our surgical caseload is primarily focused on orthopedics including arthroscopy, joint replacement, and trauma surgery. We collaborate closely with our rehabilitation department, SOUND Veterinary Rehab in order to provide the most comprehensive surgical, diagnostic, and post-operative care for our patients and clients.

Candidates must be currently licensed in Washington or licensed in another state and eligible in Washington, and have at least 2 years of experience running anesthesia.

ASOC is a smoke-free facility.
Although our nurses do perform post-operative PT care modalities related to, and adapted by Sound Veterinary Rehabilitation Center, this position will be in our surgical department and nursing care division.
Seeking a variety of hours to be filled. Possible Swing and Overnight shifts available. Monday - Friday only with weekend monitoring of e-mail available for additional pay. Part-time positions considered.
Additional Salary Information: Excellent benefit package including all Holidays paid off. Closed weekends. Paid CE stipend including paid to attend conferences.
