Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities
The Animal Emergency Center (AEC) of the Quad Cities is seeking a full-time emergency veterinarian. The AEC is located in Bettendorf, Iowa just blocks from the beautiful Mississippi River. Our progressive, 4 doctor facility has been in business since 1999 and built a new facility in 2009. We are seeking to add a 5th DVM. We serve a 400K+ population and over 30 referring veterinary hospitals. Compensation is based on percent of gross with a base guarantee plus a very rich full benefit plan. Schedule currently averages 9 - 11 shifts per month with a full week off every 4 - 5 weeks. Our support staff is well trained to assist your needs and we promote a professional yet casual, friendly working environment.

Work an average of 9-11 shifts per month including weeknights, weekends and holidays. Shifts during the weeknights are 15 hrs long (5p-8a) and current staff DVM's typically average 4 - 6 hrs of sleep during this time. Weekend shifts are 12 hrs long (8a-8p or 8p-8a) and can average the same amount of rest depending on case load during the overnight shift. Must be comfortable with full spectrum of surgical procedures, emergency triage, diagnosis and treatments. |
Additional Salary Information: Compensation is 27% of gross production with a base salary guarantee. Full benefits including major medical/dental/vision insurance as well as professional liability, license, DEA and memberships paid at 100%. A generous annual continuing education allowance is also included.
