| Veterinarian - West Suburban Chicago Area - 4 Doctor Practice.
Seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic veterinarian to join our team! Full time or part time applicants will be considered. Merrick Animal Hospital is a busy 3 1/2 doctor practice that strives to practice high quality medicine and surgery, while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Located in Brookfield, Illinois, our veterinarians have over 60 years of combined experience and have each been with the practice from 6-12 years. We are a well-established and full-service veterinary hospital, providing care for small animals and exotics. We provide comprehensive care via our full in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, therapy laser, ultrasound, computerized medical records and a team of veterinarians who are open to collaboration. Each doctor has their own workspace and is teamed up with both a veterinary assistant and veterinary technician to ensure that they are able to care for patients effectively and efficiently. Doctor schedules are flexible. Doctors are typically scheduled four weekdays (which includes one surgical day) and every other Saturday (closed Sunday). We are an appointment-based clinic, with no emergencies after hours or on-call. Consideration will be given to both new graduates and seasoned veterinarians. Our ideal candidate is comfortable in both preventative medicine and challenging cases. Proficiency in routine surgeries and dental care is required, but guidance can be given to new graduates while developing their surgical skills. Salary is based on production with a generous guaranteed minimum.
