Pet's Favorite Vet is a rapidly growing small animal practice in Upstate South Carolina.  We provide general practice care to dogs and cats as well as acupuncture and herbal medications.  We have digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray (and use it on every dental patient as the standard of care), in-house lab, digital medical records, NIBP, EKG, multiple licensed staff and we are the only Fear Free Certified practice in the area.

An extern would shadow the doctor for appointments, scrub in on surgeries and possibly work up cases on their own (with doctor supervision and based on level of current education).  Extern would also get 3 day weekends (clinic is open Wed-Sat) with no on call or overnight care.  Housing is available in a camper (actually, it's a converted school bus, but it's cool and the owner lived in it with a 9 month old baby, husband, and 4 dogs for 2 months) in a private location at the owner's farm.

The owner of the clinic works in the clinic (no corporate oversite) and is an enthusiastic mentor.  For an associate position, designated hours would be set aside weekly for case discussion and a road map to independent practice (with raises) would be laid out in the contract for any new grad.
