Central Animal Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to join our Team!
Central Animal on Pinellas Point was established in 2006 and has been serving the southern St. Petersburg community for over 15 years. We offer unique services in-house including Wellness/Prevention, dentistry, surgery (radio cautery and laser), cryosurgery, in-house pharmacy, in-house diagnostics, integrative medicine & nutrition, and chemotherapy.

4-day work week Monday - Friday from 8AM – 6PM (with a 1-hour lunch break) and CLOSED on the weekends!
Top of the line technology and equipment including, Digital/Dental Radiology, Ultrasound, Xray machines, surgical Laser, radio cautery, harmonic scalpel – all the bells & whistles
Abaxis lab equipment
Skilled team of technicians – they are well utilized and do all the anesthetics, bloodwork, x-rays, recovery

Compensation Package & Benefits include:
Starting base salary $130K (DOE) + 24% Production on services
Signing Bonus + Relocation Assistance
Quarterly Bonuses based on EBITDA
3 weeks’ vacation
$2500 CE, in addition we cover State Licensing, DEA, PLIT, AVMA, State & Local Associations

Medical Director Leadership Qualities, Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Advancing Medical Care
Oversee surgical and medical cases for all doctors, ensuring positive outcomes, accurate estimates, client communication and education.
Answer client questions and concerns regarding procedures.
Provide oversight and direction of medical standards, quality of care and inventory.
Establish medical protocols.
Oversee transfer of medical cases from doctor to doctor.
Minimizes waste and controls costs relating to medical supplies, surgical instruments, and drug inventories.
Leading Staff and Practice
Participate in recruiting and interviewing process.
Passionate about Mentoring Associates.
Monitor Doctor performance and production.
Participates in technician appraisal and medical counseling sessions.
Ensure all medical staff receive applicable training.
Supports the Hospital Manager with staff training programs and tracking CE and DVM licensure.
Drive revenues, contribute to hospital growth, and manage hospital expenses.
Assist in the preparation of an annual planning strategy, operating budget, and capital budget.
Monitors key financial reports.
Drives patient visits and encourages community involvement.
Embrace change and support interests within the hospital.
Monitor’s client service, marketing, and growth initiatives.
