We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at a mixed animal progressive practice. We are a growing predominantly small animal practice that is deeply connected to the local community and have a strong family atmosphere. Our ideal candidate for this position will have previous management experience, budgeting experience, and experience in the veterinary field, and excellent communication skills. The practice manager role is a leader and an important member of practice team. The practice manager will work with the owner to provide a safe and profitable operation by managing staff costs while creating high quality patient care and customer service in a fun working environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Planning
Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices.
Participates in the planning and budget maintenance process.
Establishes goals for the practice and team.
Creates the hospital schedule and manages labor costs to budget.
Creates training programs for team
Make decisions confidently and effectively
Oversees employee scheduling and benefits.
Establish and keep track of goals for the practice and team
Develop implement, and maintain hospital policies
Monitor and maintain processes to comply with laws, regulations, and ethics, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance.
Performs quality checks and reviews of client files.
Manage practice software and assist in trouble shooting issues.
Manage practice inventory and pricing
Maintain safety and security procedures
Assist owner with staffing needs including hiring, training, reviewing, and disciplining of staff.
Implement goal-based incentives and rewards and recognition programs.
Manages staff CE
Tracks and maintains current licensure and CE for all DVMs and technicians.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with team and clients.
Resolve client issues and escalations, and oversees client follow-up communication.
Increase client visits through client communication, in house software, and local marketing efforts

Salary: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year depending on experience
