Position Summary: The ARL is seeking a licensed veterinarian to join our growing team so we can help more animals! This position will primarily oversee all aspects of veterinary care for our shelter animals and help with the public animals in our Medical Center. They will also assist in utilizing our new mobile unit to get affordable vet care out into the community! The ARL is a Public Service Loan Compliant 501c3 organization.
Requirements: DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree required and a USDA Accreditation or willingness to become accredited is preferred. Licensure in PA to practice veterinary medicine and DEA license or ability to obtain a DEA license required.

In addition, Berks County is within short driving distance to many of Pennsylvania’s exciting and historical cities including Philadelphia, Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg.

We also offer human-animal support resources, low-cost veterinary services, animal control programs, and animal cruelty and humane law investigation throughout Berks County, Pennsylvania.
